Announcing Iconosquare’s Newest Integration: TikTok Analytics!
Summary

The day we’ve been waiting for has arrived: TikTok users can now track their statistics through Iconosquare 🎉

This is great news for business owners and content creators alike and FINALLY gave me the kick up the butt I needed to start creating my own TikTok content (I know, I know, I’m very late to the party).

The truth is, I wasn’t sure about adding another social media platform to my repertoire. I’m already active on Instagram and YouTube - did I really want the responsibility of TikTok too?

This decision was made a lot easier with Iconosquare’s newest integration, which has simplified the time-consuming task of tracking analytics. Now, I can monitor my progress inside my Iconosquare dashboard and glean insights to help me improve my results on TikTok with ease.

Keep reading to find out what the TikTok dashboard looks like, which analytics are measured, and make a note of this brand new (soon to be huge 😉 TikToker!).

And if you’re not yet an Iconosquare user, you can sign up for a free 14-day trial (no credit card required) to test out the features for yourself.

Overview

When you first log into the TikTok dashboard, you’ll be presented with an overview of your analytics.

Overview

At a glance, you can get a general feel for how your TikTok videos have performed over a certain period of time.

Metrics include:

  • Total videos
  • Total views
  • Total engagement
  • Average engagement on views
  • Total likes
  • Total comments
  • Total shares
  • Your most recent videos, which you can filter by most and least recent, engaging, liked, commented, shared, and viewed

Overview

What’s the difference between total engagement and average engagement on views, you might be wondering?

Total engagement = Total number of engagements (likes, comments, shares) on your videos published within the selected dates.

Average engagement on views = Average engagement rate on views per video across all videos published within the chosen period. Calculated by taking the likes, comments and shares received, divided by the number of views.

Overview

At the bottom of the dashboard there’s an overview of how certain metrics have evolved over time: Video views, Likes, Comments, and Shares.

There’s also a way to track the lifespan of your TikTok videos, comparing the first 24 hour period of your latest TikTok with the previous one to see which generated more likes, comments, shares, or views sooner after hitting ‘publish’.

Overview

Last but not least there is a section to monitor how often you’ve posted over a certain time period and your posting habits per day and per hour. This is useful if you want to know whether posting more or less has an impact on your overall engagement rate.

As with my other Iconosquare dashboards (that I use for various Instagram accounts), I love how simple it is to understand the TikTok analytics. The data and graphs are very visual, which makes them easy to read even if you have no experience using social media analytics.

In the top right-hand corner you can adjust the time period to suit you. So, whether it’s a year-long view of your TikTok analytics or a closer look at how a recent change in strategy is performing (last 7 days or 30 days, for example), you can set the date range accordingly.

Engagement

The other dashboard you get access to inside Iconosquare is ‘Engagement’. Here you can take a deep dive into the engagement of your TikTok videos and which ones are performing best.

This is essential if you want to better understand your audience and the type of TikTok videos they prefer to engage with. When you know this, you can do more of what’s already working and continue to improve your results.

Engagement

Once you’re in the dashboard, the first thing you can see is:

  • Total engagement
  • Average engagement rate on views
  • Your most engaging videos (as with the Overview dashboard, you can also filter these by other metrics like shares and comments)

There’s also a chart tracking each metric over time (with a comparison to results per day), for example:

  • Video views history and average video views per day
  • Likes history and average likes per day
  • Comments history and average comments per day
  • Shares history and average shares per day
  • Average engagement rate on views history

Last but not least there’s Iconosquare’s Best Time to Post feature. This is the perfect tool to find out the optimal posting time for your TikTok videos to get the most engagement on the platform and grow your reach and following.

Content

The final feature you get access to inside Iconosquare’s platform is ‘Content’. This is an opportunity to closely analyse the performance of each video.

Content

You get the basic stats like the date and time the TikTok was posted, as well as how many views, likes, comments, and shares the video has generated. There’s also engagement rate on views, video duration, and the number of likes every 30 minutes…

… basically every stat you need to fairly analyse your TikTok content and make data-based decisions about what to change (or not) about your strategy.

There’s so much information in here and the best part is, it’s so much simpler to track my progress on my desktop than inside my tiny smartphone. 😂 That’s one of the huge benefits of Iconosquare - TikTok analytics go from being overwhelming to actionable.

Conclusion

So, what are you waiting for? Whether you’re an experienced TikTok creator or a total newbie like me, Iconosquare’s new TikTok integration makes analytics a total breeze to monitor.

From the bigger picture ‘Overview’ to a closer look at your engagement rate and performance on individual videos, Iconosquare offers everything you need to grow on TikTok.

Don’t forget, if you’re not yet a user, you can sign up for a FREE 14-day trial right here (no credit card required!).
